Duration 9 Days Tour
Departing Nairobi, we head for the Tanzania border. On the way, you’ll take in views of towering Mt. Kilimanjaro, the largest summit in Africa. This is Masai country and you’ll view farms and plantations on this first leg of your journey. Our first stop is Lake Manyara National Park – home to the famous tree climbing lions. Just as famous is the sea of fluttering pink flamingos you’ll find here. And you can’t miss the herds of elephants among the many creatures inhabiting this small but beautiful park. Then it’s a short drive to the largest intact volcanic caldera on the planet – Ngorongoro Crater. Three million years ago a large volcano exploded here. What remained was the crater floor – 610 m deep and 260 square km or 100 square miles in area. This is where we will descend to discover unsurpassed game viewing in a special world unto itself. Here you’ll discover the highest density of lion and predators in Africa. View rhino, buffalo, hippo, wildebeest and much more wildlife.
